It would be the manner in which you revived it. You took a serious subject and started to make it into a joke. You didn't need to use that quote. Yes, it's on national TV now and will be repeated ad nauseum. Do you think that Colin would have made the same joke today? I can answer that one for you - at a recent show Brad made a joke about Seigfried and Roy - not only was the audience turned off by it but Colin also was.

Colin was not demonstrating some ability to see into the future with when he made that Greatest Hits intro. He was making a joke. A joke that fit into that time and place but is in poor taste now. Sorry if that makes me politically correct or overly sensitive in your view.

Not everything in life is a joke or a time for you to try out your standup comedy routine. Perhaps if you showed some sensitivity for others people wouldn't complain about what you say.
