Author: Va Director [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:39:46 09/06/03 Sat Author Host/IP: 64.83.5.130 Hello ladies!.....I wanted to know if anyone had ordered merchandise from the Cafe Press shop which has the official Virginia Galaxy items on it. If you have, let me know how they look, any feedback, etc. I don't want to *require* everyone to wear the t-shirt for rehearsals if people don't like the logo, but it do think it would be really neat to have a group photo shot of our gals in their local banners with the same shirts on. This would make an awesome pic for everyone to have as a group and we do send our pictures to the national pageant as well as posting them on the website for next year. How do you ladies feel about this? BTW, Lori said if we want to do rehearsal in the official Virginia shirts, our 3 *winners* CAN wear this shirt for the sightseeing/events required at nationals in lieu of the national Galaxy shirt....unless they want to buy both. So that way if you do win, you will not be out the $ to have to get another shirt. What's the general consensus on this? Do you all like that idea or do you resent having to buy a shirt in addition to the wardrobe you already have to have to compete in pageants? I do think it would be helpful to wear to appearances (my 2002 Galaxy shirt is very soft and faded now!) but I am curious for input. Thanks! I bought the polo shirt, since I figured it would hold up a little better than the plain tee. I don't mind at all buying the tee for the rehearsals or anything, though. I agree that it would make for a great photo. I think the hooded sweatshirt is next for me, it's getting pretty cold at the beach!

They wear very well, as has the totebag and I have 2 coffee cups I won which have yet to wear out despite *constant* coffee consumption! I think what I may do on this is to give all delegates the *choice* to either buy the VA Galaxy shirt for rehearsals OR they can wear a nice unprinted short-sleeve white shirt of their choosing if they prefer. Everyone can take a photo together in their banners....I think that way, we'll still look "uniformly" like queens, but no one HAS to buy the shirt. Everyone has a different comfort level for having to buy clothes and not everyone needs another t-shirt, etc. So ultimately, that should work out and make the photo look nice without making anyone purchase a shirt if they don't want one.... :)

I also have the Galaxy Girl shirt in the baby doll type. I really like it. So, either way I have one. I think it would be great for all of us to wear one. It's a great memory from the pageant. All their merchandise is great. I received the handbook and enjoyed all the info it has. I don't think it would be a great expense for all delegates to have a shirt, plus it is a neat way to get conversations started about the pageant!

The colors are alot lighter than the Galaxy Girl shirt I ordered. But, it's a good looking shirt and I think it will do well for pictures.
