- Your teacher got the minutes from the Nashville meeting. You can qualify in a few different ways. Placing in 2 championships throughout the year. According to my Teacher (TCRG) there won't be required contrasting set dances at the Oireachtas. You can choose your set.
Treble Jig dancers don't HAVE to do a Hornpipe set dance.
Hornpipe dancers don't HAVE to do a Jig set dance.
FYI, All Set dances are either in 6/8 Jig timing or 4/4 Hornpipe timing.
