I believe what it says, it said that He make a New Covenant not like the Old Covenant/old testament. The old covenant we had to scaifice animals as an offering to cover up our sins but we don't have to do that any more because of the New Covenant, the New Testament, the Gospel (meaning Good news). It said that the Word will be in our hearts. The Word is Jesus Christ. The bible says that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. So I believe that God told us to follow the New Covenant.
