• The young cop was hardly pleased with the weather and the fact that he had been put on foot patrol that day. As far as he was concerned, he was much more suited for the bust-em-up, shoot-em-up type of police work, catching the real bad guys and arresting them, not just slapping people's wrists for jaywalking and littering. That was why they had by-law enforcement. RD's finest, in his opinion, should not be traipsing around in the freezing cold after punk kids. He let himself in, shaking the cold out of his scarf and jacket, toeing off his boots, and rubbing his hands together for warmth. • Stirring the chocolatey mixture, he looked up, his dark hair ruffled, a bit of a crease in it where he'd worn his hat all day, his dark features were kind, and soft - a small smile curling the corners of his lips. He was not nearly so social, but with the holidays approaching and an empty apartment weighing on his mind, he was making one last mad scramble to find a dinner partner, or a skating partner or something of the type to keep him company.
