  • It was after his words the threatening tears began to spill, and she brought both girls into her arms quickly. She just wanted to get out of this place, and away from everything. With both girl in her arms she quickly moved outside, brushing by him wordlessly, and quickly because she didn’t want to give in again. She put the girls in the car then got in herself, pausing a moment to whip her eyes because she started the car and headed back to the apartment to pack as much of their belongings as she could manage.
