Subject: The way she had always assumed it to be was that she would always love him.. and she had assumed it would be the same for him, but she had been proven wrong. She sat on the edge of the chair, her hands in her lap, and let out a little breath, staring at the carpet, as though she didn't comprehend what had just happened, what he had just said, and what a fool she'd made out of herself. Truth was, she couldn't afford to turn down his offer, and he had always been a faithful, good, dependable friend for her. "Gabe.." she murmured, under her breath to noone in particular.

  • ..and he would always love her but he wasn't going to be percieved as this whimpering mass of patheticness who was just waiting around to be with her again. It wasn't like that at all. He had gone on with his life and gotten his child, he built an amazing company from the ground up and he was proud of everything he had accomplished. He was in the kitchen now, leaning against the counter as he nursed a beer - a somewhat pouting expression on his face with one arm crossed over his chest. He hated fighting with her, but, as stated, he didn't want to be seen as just waiting for her. (NT) -- Gabe, Sun, Nov 28 2004, 4:52pm PST
