  • “Yah right...” She stated simply with a half-hearted laugh. She was slightly curious about what Jackie had said to him... or rather, what she most likely ordered him to do. But she wasn’t going to care. She just had to keep reminding herself that she didn’t care anymore. Besides, even if she did ask, she wasn’t really sure she wanted to enter a conversation about family with a complete stranger. She leaned forward, and picked up the phone off the coffee table and tucked it back into her pocket even though she knew the next call wouldn’t be too far along. “What’s your name?” He obviously knew her’s.
