He brushed his lips softly over hers in turn, and then kissed her temple sweetly. "It was pretty good... Pretty laid back - why I could leave early." Work had gotten so much more bearable since his promotion - it was much less exhausting, and the pay was better, and it just made him feel a little better about life in general.
