I live in W. PA, but I spent many enjoyable summer days at Idora Park, the last time the summer before the first fire. I think it is an absolute shame what that church allowed to happen to that park...and especially that valuable historic ballroom. They should be ashamed of it all. I understand that certain groups tried to buy the property over the years and get the park up and running again, but met with no success. What a selfish wanton disregard for history and for the people who really enjoyed going there. The ballroom fire marks the end of the road and the end of any hopes of revitilizing the park. I hope they are very happy in their "City of God"..and I hope that God is proud of them.
