I am in no way questioning Flannigan's ability as a professional. As I stated, he seems like a good person and knowledgeable about hoops. I completely support his right to publish his opinion. That's all it is, not fact but opinion. I ,in fact, would agree with most of it.

Having said that, no way would I let he or any other "professional" influence my personal opinion of a player or how he performed. Not when I am in a position to see a player for myself. Even "professionals" can be wrong. Hell, even I have been wrong once.(LOL!!!)

I think everyone's opinions should be equally respected if it's based on reality. I've been watching high school hoops for over 20 years now, but I would never turn up my nose at someone else's honest opinion, even if they are a child. Now when it's a complete load of crap based on something other than the facts, I am more than happy to let someone know.(LOL!)
Believe me, there are lots of things published in papers and on the net which are complete lies and have no basis in reality. Some rankings and ratings are so off that they are downright comical. Coaches and people who watch a lot of hoops actually sit around and laugh at them. Better yet, don't believe me and find out for yourself.
