Let's not confuse Peg Ferraro's high name ID with popularity. How can she be popular? Voters tossed her out in 1997, Joe Uliana kicked her butt in their primary, and she was elected to Council in a year whe voters were so angry with Reibman that all but one Republican won. Since then she has not been able to get a single thing done and early signs are that she is going to run an awful campaign filled with lies, half truths, slash and burn tactics, and negativity. Nyce does have an uphill battle, but I would think it is certainly within his grasp.
