As some of you know I live in Port Charlotte, Florida. Last Friday, we were hit head on with a hurricaine. I am one of the fortunate ones in my town. I have tree damage and still without power and probably will be without power for a couple weeks. Today, I am at a relatives house doing some laundry and trying to live like a human for a little while like eating warm food and having air conditioning. Many of my friends lost their houses and it is just so devistating here. When you get up in the morning just count your blessings because so many of my friends, coworkers and just even aquaintences are living in hell right now. Many of us take air conditioning for granted but when you are living in 90 plus temps and no air and have no cold drinks because you have no refrigerator it is no way any person should live. Please put the people of South West Florida in your prayers and be thankful for all you have.

Hi Annie,
I feel very badly for you and yours, friends, neighbors or even total strangers that got hit with this devastating hurricane. My father lives in Venice East which is approx 30 miles from Port Charlotte. My youngest sister lives out in Winter Springs which she got some damage there, and there are spots without power, trees down all in the Orlando area and just a total mess. We were just down there to florida only a month and a half ago and were going through Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Every year we made a pilgramage there, as when my grandparents were alive, that is where they resided. They lived shortly up 41 just beyond the Publix and near the Port Charlotte cultural center.
I surely will keep you and your friends, neighbors in my prayers. Hope that everything goes at a speedy and non taxing way to get life in florida back to the peace and tranquility it once was.
A friend who cares
Beez (Brenda)
