Toad's hand slowly lifted 'way from Rilla's delicate chin at the tremor that racked her. If one had looked hard enough, they coud have seen the startings of a good scowling frown forming on his lips. Toad had decided that her flinching was a result of her being pretty much repulsed by him, and he supposed that was fine... Everyone had to have their own opinion of Todd Williams, and repulsed was definetly a new one for the list. Jamming his hands into his hoody pockets 'gain, he followed her gaze towards the floor. Why did he feel so... disappointed to know that Rilla wasn't quite keen on letting him touch her? Teeth gritted, he tried to push the feeling 'way... He didn't want it. He loathed it right now. Shifting from foot to foot, and staring down through jagged bangs towards the pavement; her toes; his mistmatched sneakers -- he mumbled, "Really... It's not that big of a deal." Glancing up and pushing his hair 'way from his smooth features he decided to give her an explanation, "Besides Rilla, it was getting un-fun in there anyways. I'd probably rather be stuck in a bus with you for an hour, then be sipping on cheap beer and chatting with people who listen, but don't really listen. Luckily, you're not either." Chuckling for the first time since the punch, Toad winked at her, 'fore holding out a minimally-callused hand in her direction, "Ready to get the hell outta here?"
