Author: Liza
Subject: She shook her head, her brow furrowed a little as her lower lip jutted out. "So you are just going to let her go? You guys are so alike, so stubborn. She was saying basically the same thing you are and you know what that adds up to? Thar your just going to let her drift away, that she's going to let you go and we are going to be slipping holidays between the two of you." Her arms wrapped around herself and she looked suddenly very very sad. She was just picturing thanksgiving at her dad's and christmas at her moms...and it broke her heart.

  • "I'm not letting her go anywhere, Liza." He assured her, but there was a quiet, defeated edge to his voice - she was right about them both being too stubborn. Neither of them wanted to admit that they had let things get so messed up. The furrow in his brow deepened as he watched his daughter - he hated seeing her so sad, and hearing about her conversations with her brother. It was easier to ignore now though that they were both mostly moved out and he didn't have to face them on a day-to-day basis - though he did see Austin pretty much every day, but Austin rarely ragged on his dad. Sighing quietly, his head tipped back a little but he just shrugged - he didn't know what he could say to her to make her feel better that wouldn't be a lie. (NT) -- Lucas, 09:28:54 08/31/06 Thu
