Subject: "I'm not letting her go anywhere, Liza." He assured her, but there was a quiet, defeated edge to his voice - she was right about them both being too stubborn. Neither of them wanted to admit that they had let things get so messed up. The furrow in his brow deepened as he watched his daughter - he hated seeing her so sad, and hearing about her conversations with her brother. It was easier to ignore now though that they were both mostly moved out and he didn't have to face them on a day-to-day basis - though he did see Austin pretty much every day, but Austin rarely ragged on his dad. Sighing quietly, his head tipped back a little but he just shrugged - he didn't know what he could say to her to make her feel better that wouldn't be a lie.

  • She sighed softly, standing up as she watched him for a moment. Her fingers traced over the initials one more time before she crossed around to the front of the desk and leaned against it, watching her dad a little more closely. "Do you still love mom?" She questioned softly, her voice a little hesitant as if she was afraid of the answer. "And I mean like...really love her, like are you in love with her? Does she still make your heart do funny things and make you feel kind of dizzy after you kiss her?" That was what being in love was like in her opinion, it meant emotions and feelings and sensations... (NT) -- Liza, 09:57:35 08/31/06 Thu
