Welcome to the Beach! The soft white sand and clear blue water make it a place of perfection. There are multiple areas such a public beach and farther down are some more secluded areas. Docks stretch out over the water and in some areas rocks line the shore.

Hello there, the angel from my nightmare

This sick strange darkness
Comes creeping on so haunting every time
And as I stared I counted
Webs from all the spiders
Catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
and hear your voice of treason

He was sat out on an outcropping of rock, feeling sorry for himself. He supposed he was much like an injured animal off licking his wounds - but his body wasn't the only bruised part of him. For the first time in his life, Angelo Valencia was experiencing humility, eating a peice of humble pie, and nursing a bruised ego. The most of the blows had been to his face, and he had a couple of painful lacerations, and the good old black eye to deal with. His lower lip was split, and his entire face was generally swollen and bruised - he hadn't fought back.. that was all there was to it - he wouldn't give them the satisfaction of fighting back, and so he'd taken more than one kick to the ribs. He was bruised, and deep breaths were a little painful - it was a wonder he had actually made it out to the beach in the first place - and strange to be out here - it was late, and he was veunerable, though he knew the Tortello men were through with him for now. Letting a soft sigh, he watched the waves through swollen eyes, wanting to curse the day he'd ever met Ariel, but completely unable to.

*A loan figure made its way down the beach, seeming to wander as if a little lost. She had come here to think, not sure why she had been drawn to the beach, but knowing she had to get out of the house where she feared for her life half of the time. Her frame was clad in low cut, tight leather pants, and a white blouse, only the two middle buttons buttoned. The wind tore at it, forcing it back to expose her flat, toned stomach. He was so absorbed in his own silent reverie that he didn't see her coming up the beach - just let another sigh - he was pitiful, he knew - he'd never experienced rejection.. or persecution.. or oppression or any of that sort of thing - he'd been a very privileged man his entire life, and he supposed that was why he had never let Ariel shoot him down in the beginning, but persisted. *She was merely going where her feet took her and so when she came across the rocks she was surprised to see a loan figure atop them. Stopping in her tracks she looked up and frowning made out in the dim light that it was none other then Angelo atop them.* "So you do live here...just as I suspected."*Came her cool tones floating over the wind to him. She fought the desire to go up to him, to have him hold her and place her lips against his. He ran a hand over his hair lightly, going to purse his lips, but stopping with a little jump when he remembered the crack in them. No, Adrien didn't control all of her actions, she surrendered some to him, because he manipulated her, he'd seen that much. "Then why are you out here?" (NT) -- Angelo, 08:33:45 02/16/04 Mon
*"Because I felt like coming out for a walk. Am I now not allowed to come here unless brought by you? Are you now placing restrictions on what I can or can not do?"*Her tone was angry, why did she need an excuse to be out here? She didn't like his tone, it was different from any other way he had ever spoken to her before. And of course she took it the wrong way. He'd gotten what he'd wanted from her...now he didn't have to be nice, didn't have to pretend to care. *The saddness in his voice, the way he sounded so defeated caused her to go from roaring anger into this pit of painful heart constricting sorrow. She hated the way her emotions seemed to be on a roller coaster whenever he was around. She didn't know what to say so she climbed up on the rock to sit beside him, and it was as she did this that the moon came out from hiding, shining down on his battered appearance. She cried out in shock, pain at the sight of him crossing her features. She knew who had done this, and it hurt to the core that it was over her. *She didn't answer, so obsorbed in the horrors down to him. She was on her knee beside him, her hands cupping his face, fingers slightly threaded in his hair at the sides. She wore a frown on her face, hating how much it hurt her to see him like this.* "I'm sorry..this is my fault...I never should have slept with you...I"m sorry...I should have known...."*This is why she had pushed Atti away, and this was why she had tried to keep him at arms length. *She swallowed back the pain.* "Yes it is...this is why i pushed Atti away. *She shook her head, hands coming up to grasp his wrists on either side of her face.* "No..no! What if he kills you next time?! I won't be responsible for your death! "Relax.." He continued to speak in a quiet, muted tone, as soothingly as he could - and pulled her to him, despite the rocket of pain that shot through his side - surely something there was broken.. or cracked. *She nodded, tongue passing over lips gently. Though she knew she was lying ot make him feel better, this would haunt her unless she tried to do something about it...stopped it somehow. A small smile cracked his heavily bruised features, and he shook his head a little bit - it seemed like they had crossed this barrier, and were a million times more at ease and friendly with each other, and he loved it - terrible that these circumstances had driven it this way, but loved it nonetheless. "I'll be in touch.." He murmured softly, but it was more to himself because she was already long gone. Once she was gone, he performed the tedious task of rising, and paused, breathing a little heavy as he watched the waves.. he felt much better after their conversation and felt much more at ease, and ready to go home, pop some painkillers and try to sleep. It was just out of lack of anywhere else to take her that he took her here - taking her back to Adrien's wouldn't solve anything or do anything for her, and he couldn't think of another place outside of his own apartment to take her to - he wasn't sure he was ready for her to be that close to the real Angelo just yet. He pulled into a parking spot and turned off the car, looking over at her.

They pulled into the parking lot - the water wasn't warm enough to swim, but with the heavy harvest moon it was definitely a nice setting - plus, he didn't want to run any risks by being out on the strip. He pulled into the spot, and stopped the car, looking over at her.

Her morning and afternoon had been spent at the apartment - getting some work work done, and some house work - but she was out here now for some fresh air and mostly just to get out. It was surprisingly warm and so she wore just jeans and a green sleeveless tee, her hoodie left on the sand along with her shoes as she strolled down the beach. She had left him a note and had her phone on her, so wasn't too concerned about anyone not being able to find her...

It was getting a little late to be out there with the toddler, but she was stubbornly protesting the idea of going home and he wasn't in the mood to argue, so he was waiting - fairly patiently - for her to tire enough to give in. Sitting in the sand leaning back on his hands, knees bent, he affectionately watched the cheerful little girl playing in the sand with her puppy. He was enjoying his time home, but was slightly dreading having to leave again - yet was almost anxious to be back out doing something with himself...
