Whether to sit and talk or bring the kids to play on the playground - everyone's welcome at the park. A large playground is set in the middle, complete with jungle gym, swings and a large slide! Nature trails provide scenic walks while a paved path that trails all the way around is perfect for new moms and familes.

She really couldn't get over how cold it was getting at night these days - she truly felt like they had gone from summer to winter from one day to the next. Chilled but too stubborn to head in just yet - it was a beautiful, clear night, and the dogs were having a blast racing around the playground - she was sitting on the edge of a swing. Feet planted in the pebbles beneath her and shoulders hunched, her hands rested between her needs - a light shiver running across her shoulders every once in a while, yet she refused to move. Dark ringlets falling loose tonight around her shoulders, she wore an off-white sweater that did little to ward off the cold - she hadn't been expecting the cool wind - and faded jeans, tattered seriously, but all things considered, was quite enjoying the time out...

Today was one of those days. A day when all you want to do is be outside. It was a day that was almost good enough to be labeled as 'perfect'. The sun filtered through the thick leaves of the overhanging trees, and a light breeze rustled the shrubbery as it cooled the land. The birds chirped, the squirrels were out collecting nuts, the butterflies went flitting from flower to brightly coloured flower, the children laughed.

And within the crowd of short children Jaya stuck out like a sore thumb. She was tall, obviously in her late teens compared to the majority of children who seemed as if they�d just be entering elementary school soon. She wore a black halter top that was matched with a pair of dark blue jeans and a black belt with silver highlights. As much of the dark hair as she could manage was drawn back into a cute little ponytail- the rest was constantly being tucked behind her ear.

Her hands gripped the rusty chain of the swing, her legs and body worked to pump the swing back and forth, gradually going higher and higher each time. She glanced over at the child-filled swing set, catching the gaze of a devilish little boy beside her. He gave her one of those challenging looks, as if he was challenging her to a �swing duel�. Jaya had the hugest urge just to give the look right back (which would of course mean that the duel was on- for those who don�t know), but with all of the mite in her body she resisted. She couldn�t let him get away with that though, so instead of beating the puny boy at a swing duel, she stuck her tongue out at him- which obviously caught him off guard. Luckily enough for Jaya none of the parents took notice to her childish actions, otherwise they might have called the police to have her escorted out of the park establishment. With a satisfied smirk on her features her gaze was torn away from the boy and she concentrated once again on her attempt to fly.

He was sitting on a bench, absently watching Wessex and Kesiyah play on the playground while he smoked a cigarette - his gaze absently drifting before he focused back on them. He'd been spending a lot more time with his son these days, doing things like going to the zoo or just to the mall to shop some - it'd all been going good so far but things could always change and he kept his eyes open at all times for any sign of trouble. He just wanted things to keep going as they were, casual and calm. He smiled at Wes as the little boy called for him to watch him, bringing his attention completely back to the kids.

It was his day off, so he had spent the day out with the kids to give Cassie a chance to relax - he thought he had heard her say something about shopping with Chasity, maybe... She had still not been home when he had gotten in, so he had managed to pawn Kesi and Siah off on his brother - the younger man needed practice anyway - and then headed out here for a breather, so rarely did he get any time alone these days. A sweet-smelling cigarette rested between his fingers and a leash dangled from his free hand as he strolled slowly through the playground - silently watching the dog race rambunctiously ahead of him...

He had the day off today and had decided to venture out. So here he was - settled easily in the grass, khaki shorts hanging low off lean hips...a simple t-shirt adorning upper body - flip flops dropped to the grass as he watched the dog venture farther away - a whistle bringing it closer again.

She had thankfully escaped from the watchful eyes of her family for the evening - easier in her family than in some others, but still fairly difficult most of the time. A soft sigh of boredom escaped her lips as she settled onto a swing, rocking gently as she digged the toes of her expensive shoes into the sand. Things just weren't the same without Dom around - she missed him more than she had expected, every day, all the time. They had talked once in a while, but he was busy with the family and sorting out all the business - she understood, but couldn't help missing his company, and wondered all the time if he would ever return...

She was waiting for Ty to pick Wes up on the swing, watching Wes playing in the sand carefully, her long dark hair straightened, covering the worst of the bruising to her face. The results of a relationship gone bad. She checks her watch, she was a little early but it was a nice day and Wes had wanted to come play.

Taking the small boy out of his stroller, the nineteen year old sat on the bench, unfastening him, talking to him absently. Away from everyone else she had quite the bond with the little boy, if truth be told her was kind of her saving grace... she sometimes wondered what she would have done with out him. She lifts the boy out of the stroller and into her lap.

she was walking down the footpath, her hands shoved into the pockets of her pink and grey jacket that wasn't really doing much in keeping her warm. It was a cold day - the air was crisp. She liked to be outside on days like this, though. Her golden,slightly curled locks cascaded over her shoulders, her lips pursed, eyes to the ground, her sneakers scuffing the ground, tugging on the bottom of her faded green denim jeans. She looked innocent and somewhat vulnerable, though she was content in just walking on her merry little way ..
