This time of year was pretty rough, and he had quite obviously retreated back into his shell over the last little while. He was just so caught up in everything that he didn't have that it was hard to see the wonderful things he had gained in the last few months. Khaki cords resting low and fitted to his hips and a light-weight red jacket unzipped over a white tee - he was hardly warm in the light snow, but didn't notice it much. He sat on one of the swings and swung slowly, dragging his feet through the white powder, lost in thought...

Her lip was tucked between her teeth as she hung back a little, unsure of whether or not he wanted his time alone. She was a little thrown off by it all, and while she had been trying to be supportive, it was hard when she was getting very little in return to go on.
