(She led him to her favorite spot in the park, the shady elm tree near the pond. Under her arm was the small laptop made for deaf persons to speak over the telephone. She had adapted it for use in her own way, using the computerized feminine voice and her typing skills to her advantage.. maybe she could help him understand her..)
