(I was going to add this comment as a P.S. to my previous post RE: Har-Bal bugs, but decided to separate it.)

The speed/performance of this forum is *very* poor. I've tried to read the small number of posts here over the course of a 4-day period, several times a day, but was unable to get through all the posts because it took so long. Occasionally a page will load within a few seconds, but the majority of the time it takes 10-30 seconds -- sometimes it just times out.

As a web developer who has read a number of useability studies, I can tell you that this *will* have an impact on your bottom line. Studies clearly show that most users aren't willing to wait long (you may have heard of the 8-second barrier), and if someone has decided that they want to read user input from this forum before buying Har-Bal, they're probably going to give up, and you'll lose a customer. If you think I'm being hyperbolic, just get your hands on a few useability studies.

Anyway, the point of my comments is that I believe it would behoove the folks at Har-Bal to look at the other forum/messageboard options out there; there are many free/cheap options that perform much better than this.
