• +He looked to Hallie momentarily, and at the nurse. He wanted her to leave, he didn't want her invading the only time he and Hallie were to have with their child. Their child..........he had never known it could sound so good. His dark lids fell to cover the pain in his eyes, his hands clenched in fists at his sides. • She forced herself to look at the child, unsure of what she saw in his eyes. To her she felt she should be saying the same thing in return. Standing in silence for a moment, staring at the down at the baby encased in glass. She clears her thout to break the silence. "what do you want to name him O?" she had no clue what else to say. • Now she wished they had decided on one before. Pausing a moment she attemps to remember some of the names she had listed... of course the list was at home. Their son.....Idin, stired somewhat, his eyes fluttered open momentarily revealing black eyes that matched his father's, then they closed. • Lips upturn slightly as she watches the baby opens it's eyes for a moment. "he has eyes like his daddy" she mumbled. Watching the baby hoping to see their child wake again. For a moment she had forgot of his fate, but soon it is remembered. Sighing after another moment she takes a step back. "are you going to tell anyone?" of course people would wonder where their baby went, they would have to find out sometime of another. To her it was only far Odan saw his Idin, but it was O's choice. • Watching him go she turnes back to there baby, glad to have a moment alone with it. Not that she didn't want O there, just she wanted to be alone with her baby. Pushing her lips up into a small smile, she leans over the glass slightly. "hi, baby Idin" pausing for a moment she notices his eyelids flicker. She wished she could pick him up and hold him in her arms, but she couldn't- not even her own newborn baby. Again she continues hopig to tempt his eyes open. "you are a beautiful little baby, I love you" but finding no responce to her voice she steps back sitting down on a chair to wait for O. A nurce comes along glancing at her. "you should get back to your room miss and rest, I'll take you" Taking her arm at the elbow she leads Hallie away. Hallie wanted to resist but couldn't, a rest seemed so nice right now. • +Surprisingly Odan was very strong in wanting to come, especially when he learned of baby Idin's condition. And true to his word he arrived at the hospotal in less then ten minutes. Osiris was waiting for him outside. • She had been drifting in and out of sleep for the ten minutes Osiris was gone. Finally giving up on sleep she sat up.shifting the stiff white hospital blankets, worried slightly about her baby. The nurse promised her that she would be told if there was any change. Eyes shift as the two enter, again noticing their eyes, the same ones that all shared with Idin. • Optics watch O's brother "thanks" though it made her wonder. What the flower for the birth of their son or the death? It just seemed so weird, she knew Odan didn't mean anything like that. Suddenly felling she wanted to see him again she stands, noticing Osiris' serious features. "did you want to see him?" She had already moved towards the door. • She opens the door, just as a nurse was about to open it from the other side. Both jumped, surprise. The nurse looked sad. Hallie watched her, almost knowing the news to come. "I'm sorry..." she begins but Hallie had pushed past her rushing towards where the baby had been to find him gone. The doctors had taken him somewhere else. • +The two men follwed quickly, Osiris wanting to see for himself that the nurse wasn't playing a sick joke. Idin was gone....and the empty incubator left an empty aching hole in his chest. he brought a hand to cover his eyes, though the image was froze in his mind. Why?! Why had he hated this child from birth...then when it had come into the world he had loved it.....now Idin was gone......Unable to stand this forigen emotions he turns and leaves quickly, striding from the hospital, taring off in his car at top speed.+ =Surprised at his brother he walks up to Hallie and gently places a hand on her shoulder.= (NT) -- Osiris/Odan, Fri, Dec 13 2002, 12:34pm PST

• She barely felt Odan's presence as she stared at the empty incubator, hearing Osiris leave. It hurt her even more that he had grown attacted to baby Idin -during his short life time- and now was hurting too. Covering her face tears gently seep from her eyes wetting her palms. Shoulders shake with each sob- not only for that baby but for O too. Where had he gone? What if he died too? She could only think of the worst. Turning, needing a shoulder to cry on she finds Odans.
