()He sat in the waiting room incase he was needed to sign any papers concerning Claire's death or such. His cell phone was in his hand, and his blue eyes stared down at it, not really seeing it. He vaguely remembered having called Maylin on the spur of the moment, but had gotten only her answering machine. In a hollow voice he had asked her to come to the hospital if she could. Now he sat waiting, not sure if he wanted her to come or not.He was kind of numb at the moment, his insides feeling hollow, and his head beating with pain. His sister was dead....()

She had pretty much dropped everything when he had called.. she had known that this moment was coming eventually, and the Hispanic woman next door who had brought her carrot cake when she'd first moved in had offered to watch Kiana.. it was better to leave her home anyways. She wasn't sure which feeling overwhelmed her more - the sadness of seeing him there, like that, or the draw to him, deep in her gut, touched that he would turn to her in such a time of need. His actions took her a little offguard, but she was wellversed in falling into things, and letting her body just go. Her arms moved around him as well, hands splaying across his strong back, her own face pressing against him, sighing a little bit. She murmured soft words to him in her own language.
