In reply to: Vela 's message, "*A purring whicker trickles from the depths of shadow...* (Flash of Gold -->)" on 12:40:50 03/30/01 Fri

*Her lips part silently in their dry curve of speech, the breath which had for so long streamed from the rims of her flared nasal now trickling carelessly down the tip of her chin, winding about it as the white fog splurted from the corner of each lip.. She had seen the other mare, she had seen her before... She was the one that Gold had shown love to, the only one that he had shown any notice for at all, though he had smiled, though he had spoken sweet words, words that fed her desiring quench for one who could love her, one who could protect her, hold her, not to find that she had arrived then simply denied her presence, holding back vision, gaze, as if to look at her was to bring upon oneself a terrible disease which might break his love for the other mare, his blind lust which caused him to make false promises to those of less worth, to her.. Her ears fall backward along the slope of her crested neck, the muscles beneath each taught, the tips of the darkened lobes scraping gnawingly at the curls of mane which fell loosely into their path, her teeth sinking into veiw as she clenches her legs in anticipated dispute, her mind sputtering with pointless accusations, whirling, throbbing with the emotions that overwhelmed even her.... No.. The words pound amidst the deafless screams of envy, crying out in hurried call, struggling to tear her resentful emotions from her mind, to expell them into the equally-mannered winds, to begin a war which would tumble through her mane, beneath her barrel, yet would never be of a threat to her at all... This mare had done nothing.. It was not her fault... This, she had brought upon herself, this constant suffering, the endless anguish which had hounded her with persuence, a taunting life of desperately searching for even a slight glimpse of the stallion, the stallion that had ignored her, passed her by as if she were nothing, making such empty promises before, promises that he loved her, that she was beautiful, that he wished her to be his, promises that he ignored, as he did her, as if everything, every strain of breath that he had spoken was nothing but a lie.. Her heavy cranium sinks toward the deepening earth, the patch of verdant stalk beneath her eye widening, materializing, each strand of grass held within her gaze visible, a patchwork of endless unity which she had never owned... She tears herself from the sorry stance, tossing herself upward to leap forward into the opposing winds, the winds that tear at her as she meanders carelessly through the tangled path of limb, one thought remaining upon her mind, pressed coldly against its neck, whispering evil into the pitt of its ear, thoughts of death, of release, circling her in ceaseless haunt.............*
