Ever check to see how Huffington Post profits are going nowadays? Remember, they have a paid editorial staff and tech staff but their authors are mostly bloggers who aren't getting a penny. And they're barely able to break even. Their salvation: being owned by AOL/Verizon, who have deep pockets.

Where's the Trib's salvation coming from now that Generous Grandpa Dick is two years gone to that Heritage Foundation in Heaven? Is Oster such a weed 'n seed rock star that the ads his features generate can carry what's left of the Trib? No. The PG has nothing to crow about either but I wouldn't bet on the Trib. As Dennis Roddy's City Paper post-mortem for the Pittsburgh Trib pointed out, it had no reason to exist except Dick's anger at the Blocks.

Hate to burst your bubble, SIRI S. Lee (cute name), but in this day and age, jealous anger at a competitor isn't enough.
