Subject: David Shribman's full of SHIRT!

It is reassuring to ponder how much Shribman, the ultimate Walter Lippmann-Scotty Reston wannabe, knows about shirts. He discusses "Peter Miller golf shirts with their micro-mesh pique wave." He explains Trump's golf shirts are "manufactured by Fairway and Greene and available in four 'Trump Signature Solid' colors, are on sale for $79.99 in the pro shop of Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles..."

Button-down Dave spends such little time in the real world he's unaware the notion of "Dickies short-sleeved work shirts of the 21st (Century)" is about as dated as...coats and ties in newsrooms. How many "working people" have you seen clad in these outfits lately?

Maybe we should give him credit for the research in this convoluted mess of verbiage. In his section of PG executive-land on North Shore Drive, he's used to dress shirts, neckties and, yes, bow ties. What he sees on his New Hampshire excursions is anybody's guess.
