I had forseen the possibility of extensive campaigning and a political catastrophe... and I would think that campaigns should be short, and possibly allowed just a short brief speech, or something to that nature. I believe actions speak louder than words, so something such as a small speech plus a list of recommendations, and or qualifications for the posisiton.

As for smaller maitence jobs, such as Webmaster, it may be easier to fill that in as a part of the job for the leader, or just have someone set to do it, untill they no longer are willing or able.

The main point for the elections would be for leaders.

Knights, yes, I agree this is a very presitgious rank, and shouldn't be given out easily either. With my idea of keeping the titles, and such, to become a Knight it would sitll require a test of sorts, and recommendations as well.
All titles would not be rewarded on basis of timespent within the guild, nor gameplay based. It would be based on things such as the help the member has made, and the quality of character, ect. If you just play the games for a year in teh guild, well, yes, you're probably a well known member, but if you have no wish to be promoted then let them just be a gamer.

Instead, certain awards, like Hellbringer, or such, Rings of Salvatin, Class masteries would be based on gameplay and available for all.

I would hate to see the guild become a total political hiatus and wreck. I would also suggest that in the rules mudslinging politics, and the like be explicity prohibited, and the guidelines explained in detail. For example, you can only start campaigning excactly 1 week before, and You're only allowed to make 1 Post per 10 threads on the MB, and all replies must be made in the same thread. This would keep spam, ect off. But, then if there's alot of traffic, they can repost after their post has moved down 10 threads, or whatever the limit is.

Ok... well, I'll answer any other questions... I wanted ot suggest it and get input, before I really put alot of thought to technicalities and special circumstances. This is something that I would do with a couple of people, because as we all know, 2 heads are better than one, and 3 are even better.
