Dukacz brings up a good point... I remember myself thinking I had everything down and then getting stomped by my sponsor's tests. Obviously, we don't want to take anything away from the quality of the training, and in light of this it would probably be difficult at best to try to train Knights to the degree that they're trained now without someone to help them. Perhaps a means around this problem might be to assign a Knight to periodically check up on a Squire and quiz them... A simple e-mailed quiz or chat session every so often to keep them on their toes maybe.
My big beef with this system though, is that I don't think it reflects much of the input that was given on this topic. I think there were a lot of good ideas that were left out of this system. I know, I have all the posts on file and I've read through all of them several times. The only one I see that this reflects is the first post on the topic (damn near cut and paste), which was just supposed to stir some conversation, though it was not bad itself. Well, the conversation got stirred, but apparently none of it sank in. Don't get me wrong, this system isn't bad at all, but if we were going to rebuild from the ground up, then I think we should take into account what everyone has to say. When this post was made, I had already written a rough draft of a ranking system based on forum input... However, when proposed to one of the people I was working with, they completely ignored me. I know I haven't been around actively for a long time, but I don't think that warrants blowing off my work... All I asked for was some constructive criticism, but if I'm not even worth listening to, then quite frankly, I don't want anything to do with Camelot's affairs and that will be the end of my service to Camelot. If anyone that cares would like to see the version that I worked on, then let me know, I'll post it. Otherwise, I'm done with this... Not being able to play online is bad enough, without having to deal with the disrespect of my peers. Anyway, ball's in your court...
