An initial wave of shock ran through her veins as her tiny body tensed when the voice cut into the silent, crisp air of the day. Briefly, in this state of a quick fright, she rose on her toes and in that same movement her shoulders rose as well. Then, as quickly as she had been stunned by the sudden disturbance in the atmosphere, she relaxes and in one swift movement wheels around to face the origin; whether it be friend or foe.
Upon whirling around, expecting this voice to belong to some horrible being, only to be greeted by the none threatening but friendly face of a child her age Ivy�s only reaction is to stare momentarily in a state of astonishment. It wasn�t that the girls voice was anything out of the ordinary for her age, it was just that lately Ivy had been on her toes and constantly expecting the worse; but what seven year old child that was on her own wouldn�t? Within a few moments she emerges from her shock and shaking her head slightly says, �I�m Ivy�, even though she expected her voice to come out slightly shaken since the drug of shock would take a few minutes to completely subside.
