Kieran sneered ever so slightly as the man blocked his attack. He was using very simple attacks at the moment- his more complex ones were saved for another moment in time. The katars were much more effective when used together, but right now he was likely doing just as the other mascu was- learning his opponent. However, once the battle intensified and Kieran switched to double attacks, it would become increasingly difficult for both...since they would both fall prey to weaknesses and advantages. All weapons had them. Kieran's attention did not sway at his opponent's next remark and he chose to ignore it altogether.

He had already withdrawn the right handed katar from his first attack. His opponent was indeed skilled if he could block a blade coming from head on, since the katar had interesting, yet rare ways of side attacks. Without a moment's hesitation, Kieran attacked from his left side in the same fashion as before; however, this time at a slightly different interval, he swiped out with the right one. Once his opponent's sword met the left one, Kieran would bring it back to a defensive position. The tides of the battle were about to change...
