The preadolescent boy oofed as the little girl ran smack into him. It took his sharp, cautious eyes only a moment to assess her, just as smudged and rough around the edges as he. He looked sidelong into the doorway of the Bakery as Julep caught sight of him back.

"Baylor Justinian Frankfurt Boggan, you little thief, you get back here!"

He was gonna get nailed for this wannabe ninja's little trick. She was fast, but he knew no one could best his tongue. He looked down at the thief he was holding by the shoulders and shoved her past him, mumbling 'git out of here..' as he walked into the Bakery to take the blame.

"But Miss Julep, I wasn't gonna steal nothin, I was just playing a trick on Tommy here to get back at'im for winnin kick ball today. Was just a prank, ya know? Forgive?" He put on his cutest face, taking one look back out the doorway to make sure the girl was gone.
