'Betcha can't do it again!' Trumble cried as the fifteenth ale went sliding down Sir Evan's throat. The crowd of knights cheered as the thick pewter pounded the table, and Asera's steward, Bixy, gathered money and distributed winnings.

'You bet I can ya pussy excuse for a soldier!' Evan blithered as a buddy poured another huge stein full. Coin hit the table readily as the boys watched the show. One swallow, two swallow, three.. four...

And Sir Evan Barzdeaux ap Dougal was laid out on the floor like a sleeping baby. A sleeping baby covered in beer.

The knights of Asera Guard roared into a chorus of taunts and laughter, a few steely boots nudging the passed out Troll.

'Was no competition for a cappish knight, ya freggin girl,' Waste, the most beligerent knight in the hold, stood over Evan with a sneer that belied more derision than a playful drinking contest. A few guards patted his arm, leading him away while Evan's friends attempted to heft him off the floor.

'Say, where's Tina?'
