The mercenary Pirate looked dead at him, steadily studying him up and down. He seemed to be thinking Ikari's words over, for just moment, but it was Ian who interrupted whatever parlay the merc was going to offer.

"Seriously, old timer, Captain Crunch here isn't joking. They're real bad guys, who work for an even badder guy... you might just want to continue walking..." he offered, all notions of pleading out of his eyes just for the moment, in their place was a look that suggested he thought he knew what he was in for, at least, and had genuine concern for the old man in this situation.

The smaller merc didn't pay Ian a second glance. Instead, he merely stared intently - curiously - at Ikari. "Either way, old man," He spat "I'm under order from Sir Carteban to bring this weasiling little thief in. He's wanted for theivery, fraud, and trespassing."

O'Righty laughed hardily and out loud at this, cutting the boisterous laugh with his own interrupted shout "THIEVERY!?! Is that what you think you're out here for? To catch a mere thief? I suppose you're as stupid as you are ugly, Captain Hook. It's the girl that he's after... he thinks I can lead him to the girl, that's why he wants me... thievery, ha!" Ian shook his head, and looked Ikari "Well ok, so yeah, I beat the 'knight' in a card game - and he refused to pay up what he promised, so I went to his house and took my winnings... that's why he can get away with huntin' me as a thief... but I swear ta ya, that AIN'T why the ugly twins are here."

Eye-patch waved a dismissing hand. "It don't right matter why you think we're out here, O'Righty... we're taking you in. I ask you once, and once only... is it the easy way? Or the hard way?"
