Subject: Rights

When I offer a story or article to a paper publisher, I offer "First North American Serial Rights," "One-time rights" or whatever seems appropriate. I don't usually send to periodicals who want "all rights" unless they pay a hell of a lot, and most of the ones asking for all rights, don't.

Now, when I send to an online journal, like Espresso, which is published out of Australia, what rights are appropriate? Is there such a thing as "First Online Rights?" "First Antipodian Rights" doesn't seem right. If they were a print journal, I would offer "First Australian Rights," but in effect, they publish world-wide.

Anybody know?
