I've deleted a cut&paste post by Tom K of "advice from Bill Gates," because it takes up a lot of space and is available all over the web.

I set up this site to discuss Columbia County issues - and even national and international issues as they affect us here in the County. That is what this site is here for.

It is NOT a "chat site." Posting cute pictures of kittens and puppies with silly captions or any of the many "forwarded" stories, jokes, inspirational messages or sermons - to name just a few - is inappropriate here.

There are many places where one can post such material if one has a need to do so. But that it doesn't belong here and I ask once again that people pay attention to the guidelines above and do their best to be sure that what they post is informational, accurate, relevant and respectful.
