Subject: Removed posts Author: Ned Depew [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:03:36 06/19/05 Sun I have had to remove a couple of Tom Koulos's latest posts since they violate the guidelines of this board. As you can see from reading the posts below (going back months!), I have repeatedly asked Tom in polite terms to avoid gratuitous insults, meaningless rhetoric and flinging irresponsible and generalized accusations around without providing any substantive support. Apparently he is unable to meet these minimum requirments for participation in a conversation among responsible and mutually respectful adults. I will continue to remove posts by him (or anyone else) that consistently and deliberately flout the simple rules I've set out above, and if he persists, I will eventually be forced to block his posts. This has nothing to do with his position on any issues, or the political or philosophical content of his posts - only with their lack of coherence and civility, which I will not tolerate. To you Tom, I will say that I find it incredibly rude and disrespectful that you are trying to turn this forum into a platform from which you can hurl insults, raise spurious accusations of others and post irrelevant, often incoherent nonsense. I will not allow you do that at this site - which I invest time and energy in maintaining. Tim (?) has created a site where you can post mean-spirited, unintelligible blather to your heart's content. If you are not comfortable obeying the rules of common courtesy that govern this board, you don't need to post here. But you can't resist posting a sarcastic and insulting remark with no redeeming merit. That is your problem. I am happy to host your posts that have some relevance to the issues and are free of insulting and demeaning language. I asked you nicely many times. Nothing has been removed except a few insulting and rude posts of yours. You are obviously deeply confused about what FoH is proposing, but since you are full of misconceptions and have shown no interests in the facts it is a waste of time to try to set you straight. Your only interest seems to be to go on beating the long-dead horse of "FoH NIMBY visioneries" and pretending that Byrne Fone and Sam Pratt are my "mentors." You are talking nonsense. I'll leave it here for everyone to see and judge for themselves since it is relatively brief and doesn't contain direct insults - although the tone is rude as always. I think you could make a positive contribution to the community, Tom, if you'd treat people with more respect and make an effort to inform yourself on the issues.
