INT – SLAYER TRAINING ROOM – DAY
Kennedy, Caridad, Vi and Tori arrive in the slayer room at the back of the school
KENNEDY
It’s been pretty much closed since we left – Vi and Buffy are the only one’s who’ve used it
TORI
How come you stayed Vi?
VI
My posting I think – Buffy has been doing this for a really long time, she just wanted to not have it all on her
TORI
So she dumped it on you?

It’s not like that
CARIDAD
It has been hard for her – she died twice
TORI

KENNEDY
So what weapons have you used before?
TORI
I haven’t really used anything proper
KENNEDY

How do you get vamps on the run?

I catch up with them – improvise, throw on target I guess

So how old are all of you?

Almost seventeen
CARIDAD
Eighteen
KENNEDY
I’ll be twenty-one in August

Wow. One of the senior slayers – so how come you don’t hang with Buffy and the other one?
KENNEDY

INT – KITCHEN – DAY
Buffy is staring at family pictures on the refrigerator as Faith walks in with Giles
FAITH
I’m tellin’ you Jeeves there’s somethin’ wiggy about the new girl
GILES
Wiggy? What language are you speaking?
FAITH
I believe it’s post-english snobbery
GILES

BUFFY
What’s this?
GILES
Faith doesn’t like the new girl
FAITH
I think she’s bad news
VI (O.S)

BUFFY

Buffy and Co walk through to the side room where the other three slayers are sat at the table
BUFFY
What are you talking about?
VI
There’s something strange about her
KENNEDY
She’s evil
CARIDAD

FAITH
I bet she eats babies
BUFFY
She does not eat babies! Give her a chance!…unless one of you saw her eat a baby?
(beat)
What am I saying…you’re all crazy!
Buffy walks back to the kitchen followed by Giles.
GILES
Seems such a long time ago doesn’t it?
BUFFY
Since I ate a baby? Pretty damn
GILES
The photographs of your Mother and Riley – I saw you looking at them before
BUFFY
Just reflecting on the suckage that is life
GILES
We’ll get her back Buffy
BUFFY
I don’t doubt it. Won’t make things any better though – Giles hundreds of girls are dead because I wanted to lift my burden
(pause)
Problem is when you lift something, you have to put it down somewhere
GILES
Those girls would’ve died either way Buffy – hunted by bringers or hunted by the key. At least the survivors have a standing chance and that’s because of you and your personal interest.
Giles walks closer to Buffy and looks right into her eyes
GILES
A lot of people would have taken last summer as an opportunity to enjoy freedom – instead you rallied up the slayers travelling all over this planet to help them because you cared
BUFFY
You always knew what to say
Buffy hugs Giles
BUFFY
Glad I can depend on you
Giles stiffens with guilt upon these words
TORI
Gross!
The hug is broken
TORI
I totally understand why you’re getting sweaty with the spunky blond even if he is like a billion years old but come on!
BUFFY

GILES

Giles leaves the room
BUFFY
…Also I’m no longer getting sweaty with Spike
TORI

BUFFY

Crack a window downstairs it reeks of teenage sweat

One that will hopefully wanna share his shower afterwards

That’s my sisters boyfriend – now I’ve just spent some time defending that you’re not about to go to the nursery for a snack so don’t give me a reason to take my words back got it?

INT – DINING ROOM – DAY
Faith, Vi, Caridad and Kennedy are lounging around
FAITH
I know what you mean – but until Dawn’s back I think we’re playing ‘my new kid sister’ with this one
VI
She creeps me out
KENNEDY
Forget creeping out – she pisses me off!
FAITH
Hey! Don’t make a personal thing out of it, believe me one of you will end up in a coma come graduation next week
KENNEDY
I can’t believe Willow’s still going through with that
FAITH
She has too – she’s acting principal and with Tara here, girls got no reason to back out for mojo stand by
(pause)

KENNEDY

INT – TARAS ROOM – DAY
Tara is flooded with light again as Tori watches from the door before suddenly loosing interest, after spotting the ‘locked’ door across the hall.
Tara goes back into the white place where she simply stares and waits for Dawn to appear to her.
TARA
I see you
DAWN
Help me get back
TARA
I-I will Dawnie, I can see you but…I don’t know where I’m seeing you
DAWN
You’ll find me
TARA
How?
DAWN
Get some rest

INT – DAWNS ROOM – DAY
Dawn’s bedroom door is ajar as Faith walks past – she quietly edges in and sees that Tori is wearing Dawn’s top and shoving her pockets full of her jewellery and make-up
FAITH
Want to explain what the hell you think you’re doing?
END OF PART THREE
INT – DAWNS ROOM - DAY
TORI
I was just… I got lost
FAITH
You got lost and you figured you’d mine your way through Dawn’s things to see if you can find an exit?
TORI

FAITH

TORI

Tori goes to walk past Faith, Faith pushes her on the bed
TORI

FAITH

Tara comes running in
TARA
What’s going on? I heard a crash
TORI
You think I’m bad? Killed anyone lately?
FAITH

Tara runs away
TORI

Tori squares up to Faith and gets smacked across the room. Tori kicks Faith twice into the cabinet before Faith smacks her to the ground as Buffy and Tara return with the other three slayers
BUFFY
That’s enough
Buffy slams Faith against the wardrobe
BUFFY
Somebody wanna tell me what this is about?
TORI
I don’t know I was just looking for the bathroom and she freaked out and hit me
FAITH
That is not what happened
KENNEDY
She’s lying!
TORI
Why have you all got it in for me?
Tori runs out and Buffy let’s Faith go
FAITH
B, I swear
BUFFY
I don’t wanna hear it…I just don’t care now Faith
Tara and the slayers stare, some in anger some in bemusement.
CUT TO.
INT – KITCHEN – DAY
GILES
Is everything alright?
Buffy sits back down
BUFFY
Getting flashbacks to the whole car trunk incident with Rona last year
GILES
Buffy we need to talk
BUFFY

GILES

BUFFY
Then I don’t want to hear it
GILES

BUFFY
