Dawn!
Buffy rushes in after seeing the broken window’s – she’s blocked by Xander.
BUFFY
What happened? Where’s Dawn?
XANDER
She’s okay…Buffy we need to talk
Buffy looks into the living room to see Willow and Dawn sat tightly, Glory is stood behind them
BUFFY
What the hell’s going on?
GLORY
My thought’s exactly princess, turns out you and the team forgot to make me corporeal
BUFFY
Really? Yay team
GLORY
Except
Glory fades away
BUFFY
Where did she go?
WILLOW
She may be getting back at me for a food incident but, um, she says she’ll keep disappearing until we make her solid
BUFFY
Can’t we make her like a toaster?
DAWN
It needs to be alive
BUFFY
A gerbil?
XANDER
Gerbils can’t talk
BUFFY
Well this sucks beyond all realms
WILLOW
Buffy this is serious
BUFFY

Glory, let’s talk business!
Glory pops back in – the others (Dawn, Xander and Willow) look at each other and walk away

INT- XANDER AND ANDREWS APARTMENT – NIGHT
Andrew drops a baking tray down on the side as he burns himself – the phone rings.
ANDREW
Xander and Andrews non-love apartment how can I direct your call?
SPIKE
It’s me
ANDREW

SPIKE
Don’t bloody think so
ANDREW
Spike!
SPIKE

ANDREW
Oh, it’s okay I’m alone everyone’s at Buffy’s baby sitting the goddess or something
SPIKE
Willow gone off again?
ANDREW
Glory
SPIKE
They got Glory back?
ANDREW
Spike…what’s that noise?
SPIKE

ANDREW
Are you alone?
SPIKE
Little bit yeah
ANDREW
You’re breathing
SPIKE
Right, um yeah Andrew I…
ANDREW
You’re totally breathing! You’re human!
SPIKE
Andrew be a good boy and shut up for a minute
ANDREW

SPIKE
I need some things from Buffy’s – go and get them for me and I’ll meet you there in thirty minutes. Don’t say a word to anyone
ANDREW

You got twenty-nine minutes left
The phone goes dead in Andrew’s hand.

INT – BUFFY’S KITCHEN – NIGHT
Glory is floating above the counter
BUFFY
Can you take this even a little seriously?
Xander walks in and grabs his key’s from the side
BUFFY
You’re leaving?
XANDER
Giles will be here in ten minutes – his car’s dead I gotta take him in to Los Angeles
BUFFY
How long will you be gone?
XANDER
Not too long
CUT TO.
INT – WILLOWS ROOM – NIGHT
Kennedy enters briefly, Willow’s sat on the bed
KENNEDY
You don’t need to say it
Kennedy pulls her bag out from under the bed
WILLOW
Kennedy I’m so sorry
KENNEDY
Don’t be. It’d be worse if you kept me through guilt
WILLOW
It’s just with everything going on with Glory and Dawn I…
KENNEDY
Please don’t make excuses, I’ve already called a cab it’ll be here in ten minutes
WILLOW
What? You were just going to leave anyway?
KENNEDY
Does it matter who left who? It’s been over for weeks
WILLOW
I guess…I am so sorry, where will you go?
KENNEDY
I have my own plans, I’m not your concern anymore
WILLOW
Don’t let us end it on that note
Kennedy smiles as she pulls her bag on her shoulder
KENNEDY
I’m gonna wait outside. Maybe I’ll see you again some time
WILLOW

They pass understanding glances as Kennedy walks out of the room.

INT – BUFFY’S BASEMENT – NIGHT
Glory is stood in the centre of the basement – Dawn pours a large circle of sand around her
DAWN
I can’t believe we’re doing this
BUFFY
I can’t believe how dead you’ll be if we don’t
GLORY
I can’t believe how dead you’ll all be when you do
BUFFY
I cant’ believe how much I’m about to kick you non-corporeal butt
DAWN
Okay let’s just start believing people!
BUFFY
Okay – Will, you ready?
Willow looks up from her thoughts.
WILLOW
Sure
BUFFY
Host?
WILLOW
Dawn’s talking Ann dolly
DAWN
What?
WILLOW
It’s the only non-living thing that can talk
DAWN
Fine!
Willow begins the spell as Buffy hears the door close upstairs
BUFFY
I’ll be back.

INT – SUMMERS KITCHEN – NIGHT
Spike is stood in the kitchen
SPIKE
Andrew?
END OF PART THREE
INT – SUMMERS KITCHEN – NIGHT
Andrew comes sprinting down the stairs and rushes into the kitchen, throwing a bag of clothes at Spike
ANDREW
Leave! You can’t be here…and I totally heard some movement
SPIKE
My lighter in there?
ANDREW
I think so, Spike you need to leave
SPIKE
Not without my lighter, now my lungs are workin’ I’d very much like to treat them badly
BUFFY (O.S)
Andrew is that…
(shocked)
Spike!
SPIKE
I gotta go
Spike walks out – Buffy follows
BUFFY
Spike wait…
SPIKE
Buffy I can’t, I’ve got a life to live
BUFFY
What? You’re just leaving like that?
SPIKE
Seem to remember it was you who wanted me out of your life?
Buffy looks at Spike, deep into him – she moves closer
BUFFY
You’re breathing – I thought I was crazy that night but you’re breathing, Spike…
SPIKE
Seems like Dawn’s fingers can do a little more than arts and crafts
BUFFY
But…
SPIKE
I said I’m leaving Buffy
BUFFY
Where are you going to, Spike please don’t leave
CUT TO.
EXT – ROVELLO DRIVE – NIGHT
Xander’s car pulls out of the drive, A taxi parks in it’s place and Kennedy climbs in.
CUT TO.
EXT – BUFFYS HOUSE – NIGHT
Spike walks away
The earth begins to shake violently as Buffy and Spike are illuminated in light.
CUT TO.
INT – BASEMENT – NIGHT
Willow, Dawn and Glory are covered in light
CUT TO.
INT – TAXI – NIGHT
Kennedy is covered in light as is the driver
CUT TO.
INT – XANDERS CAR – NIGHT
Xander and (Giles who we can’t see) are covered in light
CUT TO.
INT – BUFFY’S NEIGHBOURS HOUSE – NIGHT
Buffy’s neighbours are covered in light
INT – SUMMERS HOUSE – NIGHT
Andrew is covered in light.
The light all dims out as both cares pick up speed and Spike runs away.
BUFFY
Spike!
Willow comes running out with Dawn
BUFFY
What? What’s wrong?
WILLOW
The doll – it’s burnt to cinders – Glory isn’t there anymore
BUFFY
What?
WILLOW
She’s gone, she’s taken a new host
