International Day of People with Disability
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) was established in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly to promote awareness of disability issues and the abilities of people with disability. It is celebrated worldwide on 3 December each year.

The day unites disability organisations, people with disability, businesses, governments and communities in celebrating the achievements of people with disability and aims to promote an understanding of disability issues, and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well being of people with disability.

To celebrate IDPwD and receive free promotional products visit International Day of People with Disability website and register your event!

International Day of People with Disability website
The International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) website provides background information on IDPwD and support resources for planning IDPwD events, as well as frequently asked questions and useful links for people looking for more disability information.

There is also an online state-by-state event calendar that allows people to find out what IDPwD celebrations are happening in their area. Individuals, businesses and groups can register an IDPwD event on the website from July 2010. Free promotional products and posters are available to all registered events to help promote and celebrate IDPwD.
