State Visit to Oman and the UAE, 24 to 28 November 2010
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will pay a State Visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan; and Oman at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Announcement of the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton, 16 November 2010
The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.

The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.

UK Rural Communities Reception, 16 November 2010
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will hold a Reception at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 17th November to support and celebrate Rural Communities in the UK. The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester and The Countess of Wessex will also be present.

Over 350 guests have been invited to the Reception, held in the State Apartments, and these include Marcus Carter, who runs the Virtual Farmer’s Market, which enables members of the public to meet on-line, producers of food via video streams.

Also present will be the equine enthusiast Martin Clunes, who is the President of the Royal International Horse Show, and Judy Ling Wong, representing the Black Environmental Network, which promotes equality of opportunity within the environment.

Farms for City Children, with provides young people from urban areas the opportunity to work on farms will also be represented, as will Flicks in the Sticks, a film touring scheme which brings big films to those living in rural areas.

On 29 July 1981, The Prince of Wales married Lady Diana Spencer in St Paul's Cathedral who became HRH The Princess of Wales.The Princess was born on 1 July 1961, at Park House on The Queen's estate at Sandringham, Norfolk.25/11/10 10:35:57
