Note: Cervantes died on the 22nd, most likely, and not the 23rd. The current practise in Spain at the time was to put the date of burial on the tombstone, not the date of death. So, apperently many people who are somehow qualified to comment upon the subject say that he was only buried on the 23rd, but died the day before. I think it's interesting that he was put in the convent graveyard that was relocated and his grave was lost.
