Hey Joel,

I agree that there is a definite self-love at the heart of the Underground Man, but I feel like he really does feel inferior, and he has forced himself into it by being over conscious. I wondered, however, what kind of questions you had in mind that the 19th century man might be asking. I was thinking about this myself, but I am not very (at all) versed in 19th century philosophy. Why is it that his introversion produces such different results from the mania of DQ?
