I think this is an interesting observation, and there are certainly several situations and passages throughout the book where I would agree. However, I think this view may be a little too broad and absolute in the sense that sometimes things don’t completely follow this model. For example, he often believes things to have been changed into something worse, not better (however several instances in the novel cause this to be a matter of opinion, like having giants turned into windmills, where one would see that as a positive even though Quixote sees it as a curse). As well, I think his endeavour is not necessarily purely to correct and fix the world around him, though he does show glimpses of this, but instead to just spread knight-errantry because he is so enthralled with this as a way of life, not necessarily because he thinks it’s what’s best for everyone he encounters.
