What is interesting to note: who convinced Hamlet to kill Claudius?
Was it his mother?

On page 9:
Mom: "Cast off thy nighted color and look as a friend on Denmark..."
Hamlet: Aye, ma'am, it is common...

Presumtion: Ham's Father was the first to receive the title of "Denmark" when he killed Norway.

His identity became his country. Like his bro, after he killed his brother.

Common:. The common body of the people of any place; the community or commonalty; spec. the body of free burgesses of a free town or burgh; sometimes, the commonwealth or state, as a collective entity. (L. commune, Gr. .) Obs.
*or*
15. Sc. phr. in the common of: in the debt of, under obligations to. in common with: subject to, in the power of (quot. 1423). to quite one a common: to settle accounts with him, pay him off. (Cf. COMMONS 3c.)

Sounds like Ham just signed a contract to change his name. He looks as friend on Denmark: Denmark, being both the name of the father (I still say "paterfamilias") and the name of the polis. It was in the interest of Denmark that the sacred honor between Norway was breached in a most unnatural way. Would he kill his uncle to be Denmark? Sure. Denmark's ideals, though leading to rank and unnatural foreign relations, are his friend.

Hey, his mom told him to. First, actually. Later on he meets the ghost of his dad.

Funny thing: his mom's wishes keep him from moving out of his mom's dungeon and getting married.
