Goodness, sounds like a good paper topic! Anyway I must say I agree with your analysis to a great extent. However, I wonder what exactly pushes O into madness, it it her father's death or Hamlets ultimate rejection. Or both? If it is both, I would think she would be totally crushed, I don't see her madness as resistence, but as a giving in. Now on to the question of her fidelity, yes, they were together at one point certianly. The reasons why Hamlet is so cruel to her without admitting guilt is twofold. One, he's HAMLET! He doesn't give a darn about others! Secondly, it is a bigger deal for a woman to be chaste rather than a man, so Hamlet uses that against her. Poor O, she really didn't deserve what she got.
