I took my 4 year old Peke to the vet because one of her bottom teeth fell out. I'm not sure if her tooth fell out because we were playing too hard or if it fell out due to a hard cookie or if something else happened? The vet told me I should get her a dental cleaning. I'm afraid to put her under - she's a very nervous little girl. If I start brushing her teeth a few times per week can I prolong a dental cleaning or is this something that I need to do?
