Hi everyone,
I figured we needed a new post now that the holidays are over, so here it goes...

Hope everyone had a great New Year's and are back in the swing of things now. Anyone have a good New Year's story? I don't, we just hung out at a friends house, but it was lots of fun.

This weekend I will be trying my hand at winter backpacking. Ian and I are going with a group as part of a winter camping beginner's workshop. We'll hike in snow shoes Saturday and sleep in a tent Saturday night -- in the snow -- and hike a bit more on Sunday. I am actually looking forward to it. The good news is we'll be just a few hundred yards from a cabin if we're too col -- thus, the "beginner's" workshop. I just have a few more things to get at the store, but I'm pretty much set -- lots of down and lots of fleece :)

What is everyone else up to?

Talk to you soon,
Laura
