Like most, I was conned into LGM "after winning free holiday whilst walking at Orchard Road 3 years ago" ... after going thru 2-3 gruelling hours, all me and my wife wanted was a meal ..so we were like sitting ducks. When we signed "a legal adviser" came in and informed us that she is the legal person and that .. "there is no turning back". I asked her about 'cooling off period" ...I am Malaysian and I know they have this here. Her answer - "that is Malaysia". We signed up for a resort in God-forsaken Austria paying about S$9000. After 3 years of torture (paying fees) ..and not being able to use it nor transfer and use in one of the "thousands" of other facilities...I gave up. I went to see them a few months ago and vented my anger. Ended up a fool instead ..deeper in trouble ! He (a guy called Ram) apologised to me and said that many others also had the same problem in getting booking BUT that I was too late, only 4 months earlier they had agreed to "convert for a group of complainants" their scheme into another scheme where there is no admin fees or any charges EXCEPT if the member uses their "holiday agency services" ...and in a period of 5 - 15 years (up to the complianant), they will be able to withdraw the money (which would be invested in top ten blue chip companies). BUT, alas, I was too late ! Then he said he will speak to his boss ...disappeared for 15 minutes and came back and said, my boss is willing to call Spain and get one place from the quota there BUT I have to decide "right now".. and pay an additional about S$10,000 +. Sounded too good ...after sitting there thinking for 10 minutes I said okay. He "ran" upstairs and came back jubilant. You got it !! Signed the usual ton of papers ...took my credit card and withdrew the funds ..and after 6 months, nothing happened. I called him up today and he said .. "Oh, you misunderstood. To be eligible for that, you have to sign a business investment scheme and you need to pay another about S$10,000" ..... please help me.
