They claim to get their commission from the buyer so you don't have to pay a single cent. Anyone had a successful transaction with them so far? Date Posted: Wed, Jun 16 2004, 19:41:23 We have got similar cold call (not from Club Leisure, but who cares, they could change their names every now and then) Initially the 'managing director' said we have to pay for an agent fee before they start selling. So we refused. After 1 month or so, he called back and say he has already found a buyer, it doesn't matter if we haven't paid the agent fee. When we met up again, he said the buyer will pay us in installment starting 1 month later. For now, we have to pay the transaction fee... and so we were conned abt a thousand dollars. I was pregnant and my husband didn't want me to be stressed over the money, so we said we shall forget about it. Few months later, I read from the newspaper the same 'managing director' was taken to court by a group of victims. But I didn't follow up on the outcome. It is a lesson we bought and will never want to think about it again. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Mon, Nov 08 2004, 14:30:39 Club Leisure did call me up before to buy over my ERI timeshare membership with HCAP. The thing is, they are only buying it back at around SGD $4000 - $5000. And when I question them about the annual maintenance fee, they said that the buyer or the new owner of the membership will take care of that. The sales representative explain how the selling of the membership works. Basically with them, they will not ask any money from you. They earn the commission, which comes from the buyer side. Once you have agreed to sell the membership to the buyer possibly located in India or Europe, they will write you a cheque for the sum agreed. They seem genuine. However I still have doubts about all this. As in, how did they get my phone number in the first place? I have only registered with ERI, so that will means they might be colluding together? Whatever your course of action is, I urge you to read carefully the contract which you sign. Do not succumb to hard-sell tactics. And go away if you are unsure. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Wed, Nov 17 2004, 11:06:12 Club Leisure is actually from Toshali Sands. I'm quite surprise that they gave calls to other holder of timeshare to sell their time share but they don't even bother about their own members who want to sell. I have informed them before last year but until today, all I received is the invoice to pay the maintenance fee. Rgds [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
