] Date Posted: Thu, Dec 30 2004, 9:26:17 My husband and I just have one of the most expensive holidays in singapore. We were shopping along the orchard Road and stopped by a pityful A level student who needs to ask us a few quick questions. Then we ended up at Level 16, above Takashimaya. The life membership with CVC, LGM costs us S$30K. After I came back from my holidays, i did some internet search. To my horror, they do not have standard membership fees and law. I was only given 4 working days for the cancellation notice.( the other clients get 10 days) When i called u yesterday, the liason officer, Liona refused to help me to transfer the line to either Mohan or David ( British man), the salesperson, . The contract officer, Jeannie Toh was on leave( don't know how true it is) and all the other contract officers and the sales person are busy with clients. She said she will pass the message and they will call back as soon as possible even at 200 am when they have done with their last client. We never received any phone call from them . Obviously, they are trying to delay the time, by the 4th working day is over, then we are legally bound by the contract. How cunning. Peak season, flights are all full. As we are foreigners, it is even more difficult for us to do anything. The tourists' complaint against this company should have been posted on the tourist information phamplets ( some of the electrical shops at lucky plaza has their details on the bronchure, so that we will be careful). If the STB is not doing anything about it, it will certainly affect the tourism. I will keep all my relatives, friends and colleagues informed about our experiences. When they wanted to make the sales, they were extremely nice, Mohan even volunteered to baby sit my boy, can you believe it? He even reassured that i can call him anything, now when we wanted to cancel the contract, why none of them are contactable? How suspicious! I hope some kind singaporean can help us. Which officer at STB will be able to help us to sort out the matter.?Today is the 4th working day. i hope i can get some help soon before it is too late. Date Posted: Sun, Jan 02 2005, 15:01:31 I am sorry for u and your family being conned by LGM. U must have subscribed to a timeshare package which gives u annual holiday at Calypso Plaza, Coolangatha, Gold Coast every year. Or you would have also been given another enticement of Concept Vacation Club which gives you holidays around the world. But don't forget there are annual maintenance fees for your timeshare and annual fees for your CVC package. And these fees may go up and up and there's nothing u can do about it. Do u know that there are other people who have paid far lesser for what u paid for. Yes, there is no fix price! I used to work for the company and they even cheat and con their own staff! what about u? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
